Daverneithon Farm
Daverneithon Farm is the sister site to Cae Llwyn Breaks, offering additional accommodation just moments away from our main site. Located on the neighbouring farm, Daverneithon sits only 500 yards along the A44 towards the market town of Rhayader, making it close enough to share the same peaceful setting while offering its own distinct character.
The farm is home to seven beautifully positioned properties in total, including Daverneithon 1–4, The Tin Shed, Wyn’s Barn, and Eleri’s Barn. Set among rolling Mid Wales hills and on the edge of the breathtaking Elan Valley, Daverneithon Farm enjoys the same sense of space, calm, and connection to nature that guests love at Cae Llwyn.
Despite its convenient location, Daverneithon remains firmly within the Dark Skies Belt, giving guests the chance to experience spectacular night skies and uninterrupted stargazing, just as nature intended. During the day, the surrounding countryside offers endless opportunities for walking, exploring, and simply slowing down.
The farm is also home to four resident alpacas, whose inquisitive and gentle nature makes them a firm favourite with guests. You’ll often spot them wandering the paddocks or curiously following visitors along the fences. From Spring 2026, we plan to introduce alpaca walking experiences, adding another memorable countryside activity to your stay.
As part of the wider Cae Llwyn Breaks experience, Daverneithon Farm offers the same warm welcome, family-friendly feel, and access to some of Wales’ most beautiful landscapes — from the dramatic scenery of the Elan Valley to the rich history and culture found throughout Mid Wales, making it an ideal destination for a relaxing short break or longer countryside escape.

Tucked away in the rolling hills of Mid Wales, our four Daverneithon S Pods offer a peaceful countryside escape with a touch of luxury. Each pod sleeps up to 4 guests and comes with its own private decking, hot tub, and firepit — the perfect spot to unwind beneath the stars.
Designed with comfort and connection in mind, the Daverneithon Pods are ideal for couples, friends, and families looking to slow down, switch off, and soak up the beauty of Cae Llwyn. Inside, you’ll find a double bedroom and a second double bed on the mezzanine level, along with a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge area with TVs in both rooms, and Starlink WiFi. Every detail is taken care of — from crisp bed linen to thoughtful finishing touches.

Bright, modern, and beautifully finished, Daverneithon 3 is ideal for couples or families wanting to relax in nature without compromising on comfort. Enjoy your morning coffee on the private decking, spend your evenings by the firepit, and let the peaceful setting of Cae Llwyn work its magic.

Eleri's Barn (4) & Wyn's Barn (2)
Tucked within the peaceful surroundings of Daverneithon Farm, Eleri’s Barn and Wyn’s Barn blend rustic charm with modern comfort. Each space has been thoughtfully designed for a relaxing countryside stay — where luxury meets the simple pleasures of rural life.
Both barns are dog-friendly, welcoming up to two well-behaved dogs per property (£10 per dog, per night). We simply ask that dogs are kept on a lead around the farm, not left unattended, and stay off the furniture — and of course, that guests kindly clean up after them.
Each barn features its own private patio garden with outdoor seating, a firepit, and hot tub — perfect for evenings under the stars. Inside, you’ll find a calm, inviting space with Starlink WiFi, a 46" Smart TV in the lounge, and Smart TVs in the bedrooms.
All the finishing touches are provided — bed linen, hand towels, bath sheets, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for your stay, including a dishwasher, coffee machine, oven, hobs, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, toaster, and kettle.
To make you feel at home, we also include a few essentials: tea, coffee, sugar, washing-up liquid, sponge, cloth, and tea towel. In the cupboards, you’ll find mugs, glasses, plates, bowls, cutlery, baking trays, utensils, and oven dishes — so you can cook, relax, and make yourself completely at home.
If you plan to use the hot tub, we recommend bringing along your own extra towels too.
Eleri's Barn - Sleeps 4
Sleeping up to 4 guests in two king bedrooms, Eleri’s Barn is a spacious, stylish retreat ideal for families or couples sharing a countryside break. With soft tones, natural textures, and plenty of light, it’s a calm and comfortable base for exploring Mid Wales. After a day of adventure, unwind in your private hot tub, dine alfresco in the patio garden, or settle in for a film night on the 46" Smart TV. Every detail has been designed for easy, restful living — from the fully equipped kitchen to the luxurious touches that make you feel instantly at home.
Dogs are very welcome here (up to two per stay, £10 per dog per night).

The Tin Shed is a beautifully designed, dog-friendly retreat for couples seeking a peaceful escape in the Mid Wales countryside. Set just outside Nantmel and only 2.6 miles from Rhayader, this single-storey, studio-style lodge blends modern comfort with rural charm — and welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs too.
Inside, the open-plan space features a king-size bed, stylish kitchen, dining area, and cosy sitting area with Smart TV and WiFi. Underfloor and biomass heating keep things warm year-round, while the modern shower room offers a walk-in shower for added comfort. Outside, an enclosed decking area provides a safe space for dogs to relax while you unwind in the hot tub, take in the countryside views, or enjoy a quiet evening under the stars. With off-road parking, scenic walks on your doorstep, and easy access to the Elan Valley, The Tin Shed is an ideal base for a relaxed, romantic — and dog-friendly — Mid Wales break.
